Ideas for the AZ LoCo:

I have some ideas for the future of AZ LoCo and would like to share them.
- Ubuntu-us-AZ: Twitter account. We could keep people updated on the progress, events, future plans, and general updates from our group.
- Live Video Broadcast: InstallFest live feeds, with a small amount of preparation, we could run live video from our install festivals -- that is live from Tucson, PHX, and anywhere else we desire. ( the video box below is an example )
AZloco.com planned outage

There is a planned outage of the AZ LoCo website, for 07:00 - 09:00 (PST/AZ time) Saturday, May 16, 2009.
The upgrade will not effect the IRC server.
If you have any questions, please contact me either through email; evilgourmet (AT) gmail (DOT) com, IRC channel #ubuntu-us-az ( Jeff_Martin ), or leave a comment. I will check the comments and email and will be in the IRC during the update.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience.

GDM Login: input and ideas

Hello everyone,
I am working on a GDM login for the the group, something that is branded that we have all had input on.
Attached is the concept, let me know what you think.
( a nice usplash is on the way too )
Call to Arms !! Artwork and input wanted.

There is a new Ubuntu release coming up quickly, and I would like to assemble a AZ LoCo multiple DVD.
Releases I would like to have on the DVD would be:
- Ubuntu
- Kubuntu
- Edubuntu
- Xubuntu
- ?? suggestions ??
Since this DVD would be used at the InstallFests, and available for download as a torrent from the server here, we need AZ LoCo Artwork -- desktops and images that can be the splash screens, and Cover art. Ubuntu Server was also included in the original version.
What would be nice would be some screencast tutorials to include on the DVD, information about the LoCo ( where to join, where to get help, etc.)
This something we did in 2007, it was moderately popular with the Linux community. Here is a link to the original torrent: http://www.mininova.org/tor/798483
