Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Our goal in this celebration is to educate the worldwide public about of the benefits of using high quality FOSS in education, in government, at home, and in business -- in short, everywhere! The non-profit organization Software Freedom International coordinates SFD at a global level, providing support, giveaways and a point of collaboration, but volunteer teams around the world organize the local SFD events to impact their own communities.

The votes are in and the overwhelming response is that we should move the Sunday Night Meeting to 7:00pm MST. According to the emails I've received we should be seeing a rise in the number of participants in our weekly meetings; I hope so. So, starting this week, July 25th, the new meeting time will be 7:00. Put it on your calendars and please come. It should be fun.

This past Saturday, July 10 we had a get-together at Nate Hutchings house. It was loosely organized at the last minute and it was a tasty good time. In attendance were flakeparadigm and a bud jawee, Hatthew Helmke, lenards, my friend mathewmpp and myself. Though it would have been very nice to see more of the team in attendance we weren't lacking anyhting. We had planty of good conversation and Nate cooked up tasty hot dogs, hamburgers, bratts and topped it off with a wonderfully smoky blueberry crumble desert. Thank you Nate for the tasty eats and your use of wood chips to add to the overall great flavor. Let's hope we can do this again later in the summer or in the fall and get a much larger group together as it was a great experience.
